DAY 8: WEDNESDAY - HAPPY DAY OF MERCURY EVERYBODY!

Day 8 of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test
By
Charles Lamson

Wednesday

Wednesday is the day of the week between Tuesday and Thursday. According to international standard ISO 8601 it is the third day of the week. In countries that have Friday as their holiday and in the Islamic calendar, Wednesday would be the fifth day of the week. In countries that use the Sunday-first convention and in the Jewish Hebrew calendar Wednesday is defined as the fourth day of the week. The name is derived from Old English Wōdnesdæg and Middle English Wednesdei, "day of Woden", reflecting the pre-Christian religion practiced by the Anglo-Saxons, a variation of the Norse god Odin. In some other languages, such as the French mercredi or Italian mercoledì, the day's name is a calque of dies Mercurii "day of Mercury".

Religious Observances

The Creation narrative in the Hebrew Bible places the creation of the Sun and Moon on "the fourth day" of the divine workweek.

Quakers traditionally referred to Wednesday as "Fourth Day" to avoid the pagan associations with the name "Wednesday", or in keeping with the practice of treating each day as equally divine.
The Eastern Orthodox Church observes Wednesday (as well as Friday) as a fast day throughout the year (with the exception of several fast-free periods during the year). Fasting on Wednesday and Fridays entails abstinence from meat or meat products (i.e., four-footed animals), poultry and dairy products. Unless a feast day occurs on a Wednesday, the Orthodox also abstain from fish, from using oil in their cooking and from alcoholic beverages (there is some debate over whether abstention from oil involves all cooking oil or only olive oil). For the Orthodox, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year commemorate the betrayal of Jesus (Wednesday) and the Crucifixion of Christ (Friday). There are hymns in the Octoekhos which reflect this liturgically. These include special Theotokia (hymns to the Mother of God) called Stavrotheotokia ("Cross-Theotokia"). The dismissal at the end of services on Wednesday begins with these words: "May Christ our true God, through the power of the precious and life-giving cross...."
In Irish and Scottish Gaelic, the name for Wednesday also refers to fasting, as it is Dé Céadaoin in Irish Gaelic and Di-Ciadain in Scottish Gaelic, which comes from chéad, "first" and aoine, "fasting" which means "first day of fasting".

In American culture many Catholic and Protestant churches schedule study or prayer meetings on Wednesday nights. The sports calendar in many American public schools reflects this, reserving Mondays and Thursdays for girls' games and Tuesdays and Fridays for boys' games while generally avoiding events on Wednesday evening.
Cultural Usage
In Hindu mythology, Budha is the god of Mercury (planet), mid-week Wednesday, and of Merchants and merchandise. According to the Thai solar calendar, the color associated with Wednesday is green.

In the folk rhyme "Wednesday's child is full of woe", reciting the days of the week, Solomon Grundy was 'Married on Wednesday.' In Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, the disagreeable nature of the weather is attributed to it being "Winds-Day" (a play on "Wednesday"). In Richard Brautigan's In Watermelon Sugar Wednesday is the day when the sun shines grey. Wednesday Friday Addams is a member of the fictional family The Addams Family. Her name is derived from the idea that Wednesday's child is full of woe. Additionally, Wednesday sometimes appears as a character's name in literary works. These include Thursday's fictions by Richard James Allen and Neil Gaiman's novel American Gods. In the 1945 John Steinbeck novel Sweet Thursday, the titular day is preceded by "Lousy Wednesday".

Wednesday is sometimes informally referred to as "hump day" in North America, a reference to the fact that Wednesday is the middle day—or "hump"—of a typical work week.[4]

Astrology

The astrological sign of the planet Mercury, , represents Wednesday—Dies Mercurii to the Romans, it had similar names in Latin-derived languages, such as the Italian mercoledì ( means "day"), the French mercredi, and the Spanish miércoles. In English, this became "Woden's Day", since the Roman god Mercury was identified by Woden in Northern Europe and it is especially aligned by the astrological signs of Gemini and Virgo. Wednesday is one of the only three days aside from Neptune and Pluto to be associated by another planet, which is Uranus.

Named days

  • Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent in the Western Christian tradition, occurs forty-six days before Easter (forty, not counting Sundays).
  • Holy Wednesday, sometimes called Spy Wednesday in allusion to the betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot, is the Wednesday immediately preceding Easter.
  • Red Wednesday, the Yezidi festival celebrated in Iraq.

The 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test (Days 6 & 7)

Day 6 (a.k.a. December 2, 2019)
by
Charles Lamson

Hey Everybody!

Welcome all to Day 6 of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test.

Again, you may have noticed that I did not post yesterday. I was still somewhat fighting off that bug a little bit that I was talking about in my last post, Day 4. So, my brain felt like it was in a fog. And, this blog or project that I'm working on actually requires a little bit more creative thinking than I use on my other blog, which is mainly about things like the behavioral sciences, management,  business administration, public relations, communications, with some economics and finance thrown in as well. I find it easier to write on these topics because they are all basically research papers, which basically means everything I want to write is right in front of me in the source material I use.

I don't completely plagiarize the sources I use on my other blog, The Rant, but I still find it easier because the structure of what I want to write is easy for me to visualize in my head than it is when I'm just trying to relay what I went through in a given day. For some reason, putting my thoughts coherently in written form, relaying my day-to-day activities, is more difficult to me. It may get easier with continued practice.

So, my point being is that when I woke up yesterday morning with my cloudy head, I just put off doing the post Day 5. And then, I just got busy with other little projects, and before I knew it, it was time to go to bed.

But, I did manage to listen to the below YouTube video 432 Hz Bring Positive Changes - Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hz Miracle Tone Recording in the morning while I was drinking coffee, waking up, and working on my other blog.

432 Hz Bring Positive Changes - Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hz Miracle Tone

December 3, 2019

7:07 p.m.

I don't know why I just can't seem to build enough excitement for this project to complete my daily entries, or even semi-daily. I just can't get my head into this project; the writing part anyway. Perhaps I just have too many irons in the fire. Because, I'm still working on my other blog. I love doing that. I just find the writing style of daily personal journaling to be more difficult than writing more scholarly type posts like I do on The Rant

However, I still am doing the other parts of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test that I set out to do from the beginning of this little experiment/gonzo journalism piece. Not only have I kept my commitment to listen to 432 Hz Bring Positive Changes - Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hertz Miracle Tone Recording (mentioned above) at least once a day, but I have also been listening to the below YouTube video Root Chakra Healing Chants - LET GO OF FEARS AND INSECURITIES - Seed Mantra "Lam" Chanting Meditation A LOT, both throughout the day and at night while I'm sleeping.

Root Chakra Healing Chants - LET GO OF FEARS AND INSECURITIES - Seed Mantra "Lam" Chanting Meditation

As far as the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test goes, I have noticed that I'm getting a lot better at observing, tracking, and stopping all of the harmful self-critical thinking. I'm not doing that nearly as much. It is only a few times a day now that I have to remind myself to stop thinking like that. And I catch and stop it early before I let my mind take me into a full-blown, mental self-flagellation session.

Both yesterday and today, I've just been so busy every waking minute with all my other various creative projects, that I'm not even thinking about the 30-Day project, except for when I choose to put that music from the above mentioned YouTube videos on in the background, while I'm working on my other blog, or my artwork (am currently in the middle of creating my own tarot deck). I'm just so busy trying to train my mind not to think at all in those self-destructive ways, that I haven't been able to take out the time (until now) to objectively notice if there's any positive development regarding the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test because I'm just too busy worrying about other stuff.

Until next time stay positive, confident and have good self-esteem. And, I shall try to do the same.

Day 4

Day 4
by
Charles Lamson

As you may have noticed, I didn't post anything yesterday. Was feeling a little under the weather. Was feeling a little feverish and weak like I was fighting something off. So I just kind of focused on drinking a lot of water, taking lots of good vitamins, and getting some rest, and lo and behold, I feel a little better today.

Image result for new age

Yesterday wasn't a total wash though, as far as the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test goes. I started my day by listening to the below Youtube video, 432 Hz Bring Positive Changes - Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hz Miracle Tone Recording, while I drank coffee and worked on my other blog, The Rant.

Also, for those of you who don't know,  aside from being a blogger, I'm also a podcaster and YouTuber, mostly as a hobby. I say this because I feel it is relevant concerning the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test, because I actually started doing a show yesterday on an internet radio station called Revolution Radio. and they have a much larger audience than the one I get on my blog or my YouTube channel or my Blog Talk Radio podcast.

Image result for new age

However, I'm not quite sure how long they will stay operating. They seem to be going through a pretty rough transitional period. the former owner of the station recently passed away unexpectedly. But all the hosts who work on this talk radio station seem to have really loved this former owner and the station as a whole and they are trying to ban together to keep the station going.

But the problem is a lot of their programming comes at things from a rather unfavorable political viewpoint, being that it's mostly conservative. A couple of the shows are openly anti-Semitic and pretty much all of the other shows are about tearing down the existing order of things; the existing establishment and power structure and replacing it with something else. I guess most of them feel if we could go back to a more Constitution-oriented system of government and get rid of the central banking system, it would somehow make everything much better.

Now, I think the management is not all that radical, but they see their station as a last bastion of free speech. Basically anyone who wants a show, be it once a week or a couple times a week, can get a show. All I had to do was do an interview, a group conference call with the management staff and I had to write a little resume (basically, just to show that I could technically handle running my own show). But as far as content goes, they have a very hands-off attitude toward censoring or telling the host what he/she can or cannot say, aside from using curse words, being too religious, or talking about flat Earth theory: These things they don't like.

In other words, their rhetoric seems to be pissing off a lot of powerful people. It would be different if they didn't have any audience and nobody cared what they had to say. but they actually do have a fairly sizable audience; not as big as Alex Jones or the Drudge Report, but big enough to make some people angry.

Image result for new age

I mention this because it seems like they might be making the wrong people angry at them; namely, big-tech people from Silicon Valley, the Chicoms, and the pedo cult that seems to be running the show right now. Though their power is dwindling, many of their minions possess enough technical expertise to create a lot of glitches in their broadcasting machine. The audio just cuts in and out all the time, making it almost impossible to listen to. So the popular consensus is that it's probably some sort of sabotage. The management team has been working feverishly behind the scenes to get things working smoothly again. Whether they'll be able to do that or not only time will tell. So whether I still keep doing a show there or not only time will tell, as well.

Stay tuned . . .

The 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test (Day 2)

Day 2
by
Charles Lamson

Introduction

It is Day 2 of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test. It is also Thanksgiving Day here in America. I hardly know where to begin. But they say that every story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. So, I guess I'll start at the beginning.

Image result for new age

The Beginning

As soon as I woke up this morning, I started my daily morning ritual of self-flagellation. For those of you who may not know what that means, Wikipedia defines self flagellation as the act of hitting oneself with a whip as part of a religious ritual (see Figure 1).

FIGURE 1 Self Flagellation
Image result for self flagellation
Okay, maybe its not that extreme (that dude has serious confidence and self-esteem issues). I'm using a metaphor, but I think you know what I mean.

For some reason my confidence and self-esteem is almost always at its lowest level when I wake up in the morning. It could just be because I'm a coffee addict, but I've noticed that when I lay there in bed in the morning, just after I wake up, the mental tapes start playing in my head about what a loser I am and how much I suck compared to other people and all the different ways I' embarrassed myself and made myself look foolish and ridiculous the day before and pretty much my whole life. I care so much what other people think of me and in these times, I'm just mortified thinking of all the foolish things I've done in my life, that might make others see me in a negative light. Its like I want to be worshiped and admired by everyone. I constantly worry what others think of me.

Now, the reason I think caffeine addiction sort of plays a role in all this is because usually once I start to wake up and have some coffee and start working on one my creative projects that I always seem to be working on, my mood almost always gets a lot better and more positive as the day goes on.

And today was no exception. I may have actually made a tiny bit of progress, because pretty quickly after I started my morning ritual of thinking about how much I suck, I reminded myself that this is Day 2 of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test.

Image result for new age

So I cut the self-flagellation ritual short, started drinking some coffee and I started listening to the above Youtube clip at the top of this post, entitled 432 Hz - Bring Positive Changes - Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hz Miracle Tone Recording, which is a crucial part of the 30-Day Bring Positive Changes and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test as my plan is to listen to that clip every day of the project. And I started working on my other blog The RantAnd I started to feel a lot more positive and got on with my day.

The Middle

And so I did notice throughout the day I did seem to be much more cognizant of my habit of negative thinking about myself. I have a big problem with comparing myself with other people and thinking I'm a total loser compared to so and so and these people probably think I'm a total joke, an idiot, a mentally insane idiot, or whatever.

But I was doing a pretty good job of catching myself as soon as these thoughts would arise and I would remind myself not to do that. And then I would try to imagine how a confident person with good self esteem would act and feel regarding these situations that seem to trigger my negative thinking, and then I would just sort of play that role. A "fake it till you make it" strategy.

So, until next time, stay positive have confidence and good self-esteem, and I will try to as well.

30-Day Bring Positive Change and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test (Day 1)

Day 1
by
Charles Lamson

Been having a lot of problems with confidence and self-esteem lately. So I prayed about it earlier today. Then, when I got onto the Internet, I noticed the above video, entitled 432 Hz - Bring Positive Change and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem - 432 Hz Miracle Recording, was at the top of my Youtube recommendation list.

So, since the 30-Day Proactive Test in Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People worked so well for me in the past (See my other blog The Rant to learn more about that.), I decided to listen to the above music video every day for 30 days and challenge myself to do a Coveyesque 30-Day Bring Positive Change and Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem Test, in which, I simply just focus on bringing positive change and boosting my confidence and self-esteem for 30 days and writing about it in this blog to keep track of my progress.

And you know what? I do believe the magic is already working, for as I come to the close of writing this first post, I already feel my spirits lifting a bit. I guess the sheer act of working on this part of myself is making me feel less powerless and more empowered.
